Thousands of Rand leave poor communities each day because they are buying bread and baked goods that have been baked elsewhere. Mama’s Bakery is targeting the problem on a micro scale. What if one woman could bake and sell bread, muffins and other products a day from her home? She can still be a mother, a wife and a bread winner, and keep the money in the community.
Millions of potentially good hard-working women living in the townships and outlying areas just can't find a good job. Some lucky ones do have a job but after taxi fares and long hours, they barely bring home enough money to scrape by. Due to the lack of resources for this large portion of our population the cycle of poverty, lack of education and crime gets passed from one generation to the next.
Most families eat two loaves per day; this means a baker would only need about 12 families as customers. What if she could make R5 per loaf of bread she sold per day? Now let’s add to that, muffins, cupcakes, snowballs, pizza and various other baked goods.
Long term sustainable change would be brought about in her life and that of her family if she was working from home generating a profit of between R2000 and R7000? What impact would her profits have on the rest of the community where she lives and spends her money? The knock-on effects would be enormous.
Going back to basics, making and selling high demand products through a simple Agency type model, Mama’s Bakery is driving change in a group of people that may never find a job and the prospects of a conventional business may be too restrictive.
A Basic Mama’s Bakery Business Synopsis:
A baker and an assistant having received 3 days of thorough training in both her business management and baking skills, sells baked products to her community.
The wood-fired rocket oven can bake 8 loaves per hour. Bulk sales to schools, churches etc. substantially increase profits. Her monthly profits will depend on how many hours she invests per day. On average home bakers earn between R2000 and R7000 per month. They are independent and will need to source their own flour and arrange their own bulk sales to schools and businesses.
- Their products include, but are not limited to the following:
Bread, white and brown - Sandwiches, quarters
- Muffins
- Cupcakes
- Snowballs
- Pizza
- Chelsea buns
- Fried chips, chip rolls, Gatsby rolls
- Cakes
- Biscuits
- Vetkoek
BECOME A BAKER
Become a baker, start a great business that allows you to work from home serving your local community with hot fresh bread, muffins, cupcakes and more while making very good profits every day. In one month you can earn around R6,000 profit just selling bread alone.
The size of the African bread market alone is worth billions of rand every year and nearly all the bread we eat is produced locally. A bread bakery business is easy to start up and can be run from a home kitchen or a bread factory. I have long maintained that salaries are not too low in South Africa, rather the cost of living is too high and one of the things that people are paying too much for is bread. It is ridiculous that poor people are paying R12 – R15 for a swollen piece of dough, I mean a loaf of bread, so get your slice of this amazing opportunity now!
